# Events

Events live at `/v2/events`. They support every request on the [Records](/api/endpoints/records.md) page: list, get, history, create, update, delete and search.

## Creating an event

* `name`, `event_type` and `event_date` are required. `event_type` is `hosted` or `external`.
* Send `event_date` and `event_date_end` in UTC. They come back in UTC too.
* A new event's `record_status` is `upcoming`. Once the event is over, tiny+ marks it as held.
* `event_location` is an address. Send it in parts, like a company's address: `event_location_address1`, `event_location_town` and so on. See [Addresses](/api/endpoints/companies.md#addresses).

## Attendees and RSVPs

You can read who's coming to an event:

* `attendees_json` is the guest list, as a JSON-encoded string. Each guest has `name`, `email`, `company`, `mobile`, `notes`, `related_contact` and `related_company`.
* `staff_rsvps` lists the team members who have said they're coming, as ids separated by `|`, such as `"1231|1245"`.
