# AI assistants (MCP)

tiny+ is also an MCP server, so AI assistants such as Claude can connect to it directly, at:

```
https://api.tiny.plus/mcp
```

An assistant connects as one person, with their own tiny+ login, and sees only what they can see. It can read records, search the news feed, list [relationship plans](/api/endpoints/relationship-plans.md) and read [lists](/api/endpoints/lists.md), target lists among them. If allowed, it can also add and update records, post to the news feed, log a plan's follow-up, start a plan, make a list and put records on one. It can't delete anything.

You don't need an access token or a registered app for this. The assistant finds what it needs at `https://api.tiny.plus/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp`, [registers itself](/api/getting-access/register-a-client-app.md), and signs the person in through the [OAuth authorisation process](/api/getting-access/oauth-authorisation-process.md). The person approves the connection on a consent screen.

To connect, the tiny+ account needs:

* the Pro plan;
* an AI Assistants seat for the person connecting;
* **Let AI assistants connect (MCP)** switched on under Account Settings → AI Usage.

For an assistant to add and change records, the account also needs **Let connected assistants change records** switched on, and the person must tick **Allow it to add and change records** when they approve it.

[Ask & AI Assistants](/guides/everyday/ask-and-ai-assistants.md) explains how to set this up, and how to connect Claude.
